Training offered prior to smoking ban

An Isle of Man based company is advising the hospitality industry to train its staff to cope with the incoming smoking ban.

It says research in the United Kingdom shows smokers there have sometimes reacted violently when asked to put out cigarettes.

Director of Speedytrain John Christian says proper training for staff can mean they learn how to avoid conflict with customers (audio file attached):

The ban on smoking in enclosed public places comes in at the end of March.
