New Board of Education member

by isleofman.com 14th January 2008

A former police officer has been appointed to the Board of Education to represent Douglas West.

Mother of two Gill Skinner lives in Douglas and served with the Metropolital Police in London, where she forged links with local schools.

She has already worked with the Department of Education as a bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care, as well as invigilating during exams at Ballakermeen High School.

Mrs Skinner takes the seat left vacant following the death of Geoff Cannell in September last year.
