'Save Border TV' says MP

A Carlisle MP is urging people to object to proposals to merge Border TV with the Tyne Tees region.

ITV says it wants to get rid of the region to save cash, but the moves puts the Island’s television news coverage under threat.

Regulator Ofcom has now given a timetable for consultation on the moves, and Labour's Eric Martlew (pictured) says people should make their views known now to save local TV news:
