Woodward pleased with TT bookings

by isleofman.com 12th January 2008
Numbers for next year's TT festival look promising if the Steam Packet's bookings are anything to go by.

The ferry company has announced it has four confirmed vessels to operate 223 sailings, 50 per cent up on normal services.

As it stands, between Wednesday, May 21 and Tuesday, June 3 around 31 per cent of the vessels' passenger capacity has been reserved.

A similar number of vehicle slots have already been taken, and over half of the motorbike capacity has been snapped up.

Steam Packet Chief Executive Mark Woodward (pictured) says the company is well ahead in terms of forward bookings compared to the same month in 2005, although it doesn't equal record numbers for the centenary in 2007.
