Former commissioner remembered

by isleofman.com 11th January 2008
Castletown Commissioners have paid tribute to a former chairman.

Harold Kelly, who passed away last month at the age of 92, served on the board for nine years and was chairman in 1983.

He was also chairman of the Save our Scarlett group, which successfully campaigned for 13 years to stop development at the southern beauty spot Knock Rushen.

Members observed a minute’s silence in his memory at this week’s board meeting.
