Drink driver fined

An 18 year old man has been fined ?1,000 by the High Bailiff for drink driving.

Steven William Chadwick, of Cronk Breck Farm, Greeba admitted the offence.

Evidence showed he was arrested at 11.40pm on December 14 in Ballaquane Road, Peel after colliding with a parked car.

A breath sample gave a reading of 93 microgrammes of alcohol, compared with a legal limit is 35.

His advocate said Chadwick, who had no previous convictions, was very frank with police and had paid for the damage.

Chadwick was banned from driving for 31 months.
