Extreme road conditions

by isleofman.com 11th January 2008
Drivers are being advised to take extreme caution on the road this morning (Thurs).

Heavy overnight rain which is continuing today has led to very wet roads and large accumulations of standing water in places.

Police say road conditions are getting worse with flooding. Workers from the Department of Transport are out and about on foot, and motorists are being asked to try and minimise their bow-waves when driving through the standing water.

Most areas of the Island are affected, and motorists should be extremely cautious.

Police describe road condition as treacherous.
