Members to vote on Tynwald pay rise

by isleofman.com 4th January 2008
Tynwald members will decide whether they deserve almost ?90,000 in pay rises later this month.

In the first sitting of 2008, Chairman of the Tynwald Management Committee and Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan ask the Court to vote on the rises.

In total, he will ask for an extra ?89,775 from the Treasury to be split between staff and members of Tynwald.

The motion says the sum is excess expenditure in respect of increased salaries following the 2007/8 pay award.
