Biker inquest opened and adjourned

An inquest into the death of an 18 year old barman from Glen Maye has been opened and adjourned at Douglas courthouse.

Darren James Self died when his motorbike collided with a vehicle on the Ballahutchin on the 19th of December.

A post mortem examination revealed Mr Self died from injuries to the face and upper body.

In adjourning the inquest to a date to be set, Coroner Michael Moyle said he would release the body when police had decided whether or not to press any serious charges in relation to the incident.
