Consumers get key role in marketing

There are changes afoot this week as the Isle of Man Creameries, Isle of Man Meats and the Isle of Man Agricultural Marketing Society become private companies.

Also, consumers are to be given a proportionately much bigger say in the slimmed-down Agricultural Marketing Society.

Minister Phil Gawne says an improved understanding of Manx consumers' needs and expectations can only be good for both sides of any debate - and that the old society was actually quite unwieldy:
