Budget help for 2008 from OFT

Listeners who are worried by recent headline 'doom and gloom' stories in the English papers are being offered some timely financial advice by the Office of Fair trading.

Problems in the American sub-prime mortgage industry are rippling out around the world, bringing fears of another recession and credit squeeze.

But many of us could stay in the black more if we set out a proper annual household budget. Advice Centre Manager Pauline Wood (pictured) says she'd be happy to help people with personal or online advice:
