Island considers organic options - MNFU

There are positive signs the Manx public is prepared to pay more for humanely-reared, locally produced food.

That's the view from the Manx National Farmers Union, as we go into 2008.

The RSPCA has called on the public to stop buying battery-farmed chickens and instead choose free-range, organic or 'friendly food'.

President of the Manx National Farmers Union Howard Quayle (pictured) says there are signs shoppers in the Island are moving in that direction (audio file attached):
