Cue attacker remanded to prison

A man who broke a snooker cue over another’s head has been remanded in custody for reports.

Twenty-one year old Sean Kenneth Jones of Durban Road, Liverpool admitted assault causing actual bodily harm.

Sergeant John Manley, prosecuting, said Jones went to a house in Westbourne Drive, Douglas in the early hours of December 23.

There, he attacked another man with the cue, causing cuts, bruising and swelling which required hospital treatment.

His plea for bail was refused and he will appear before High Bailiff Michael Moyle again on January 15.
