Cow shed service at St John's

by isleofman.com 20th December 2007
A St Johns farmer hopes a Christmas carol service on his land this evening will help him reconnect with the public.

John Kennaugh (pictured) says in the past farmers have distanced themselves from the local community by forbidding people to walk on their land.

However, he now believes that was sometimes the wrong approach, because it could create rifts between farming and the community.

For the second year running he is holding a carol service in one of his cattle sheds, which he hopes will help restore relations (audio file attached):

The carol service will start at 7pm, at Ballaleece Farm.

Tomorrow there is a Nativity in the Barn at Ballaterson Mooar, Ballaugh.
