More admin staff for hospital

Extra staff will be needed to support the new IT system recently installed at Noble's Hospital (pictured).

That admission has come from hospital management, after many staff in the administration department complained the change-over put them under severe stress, and meant they had to work long extra hours.

The previous computer system was 20 years old and had to be replaced, as engineering support ended this month.

But, despite the pressures, the new patient administration system went on-line as planned and without the hospital closing.

Director of Strategy at the DHSS Norman McGregor-Edwards says the project has been a success, and he is dismissing the idea the hospital employs too many admin staff (audio file attached):
