Delaney sounds immigration warning

The Isle of Man must prepare for the long-term legacy of immigration.

That's the warning from former MHK and MLC Dominic Delaney.

He says while the influx of workers from overseas is needed when the economy is thriving, those who settle here will require more services from the state in the future.

Mr Delaney, who describes himself as an Irish immigrant, is calling on politiicians to consider the long-term liability of allowing large numbers to come to the Island (audio file attached):
