Governor applications close today

by isleofman.com 17th December 2007
It's the closing date for applications for anybody who fancies becoming the governor of the Isle of Man's prison.

The successful candidate will be the overall manager of the new ?41m jail at Jurby, which is relocating from Victoria Road in Douglas and is due to open next March.

The Department of Home Affairs advertised the post following the retirement earlier this year of Tony Hawkes, who had been acting governor since the departure of Rosemary Crosby.
