Good incentive to enhance biosecurity

The Agriculture Minister says there's a strong financial incentive for Manx farmers to up their biosecurity.

Phil Gawne's department predicts savings of three to four hundred thousand pounds across the industry if the measures are improved to a certain level.

Mr Gawne feels the UK's foot and mouth and bluetongue scares this year have served as something of a wake-up call for DAFF and farmers here:
