ACHE urges attendance at meeting

Anybody with concerns about the cancellation of a transport service for people with learning disabilities is being advised to attend a meeting tomorrow.

The DHSS, which has decided not to renew a ?160,000 annual contract, is getting together with people affected by the cuts.

Carers group ACHE is campaigning to retain the service and spokesman John Sheppard says they are prepared to take the issue to court (audio file attached):

Tomorrow's meeting will be at the Eastcliffe day care centre, at 10am.
