New Deputy Chief Constable named

The newly appointed Deputy Chief Constable of the Isle of Man says he believes protecting the Island's way of life is one of the biggest challenges in the coming years.

Superintendent Gary Roberts, who joined the force in 1984, will take up his new role on January 1st.

Speaking on Mandate this morning he said the Island is a safe, tranquil community, and he wants to keep it that way:
