Vehicle checks for Willaston

Vehicles in the Willaston area will come under scrutiny all next week when police carry out roadworthiness checks.

From Monday, officers from the Eastern Neighbourhood Policing team, along with examiners from the Vehicle Testing Centre, with be running the rule over both moving and parked vehicles.

The Eastern Neighbourhood's Constable Richard Goldie says he can't overstate the importance of owners ensuring their cars, motorbikes and vans are in a roadworthy condition.

He says during the winter months it's essential for people to regularly check their lights and tyres especially.
