Man dies after falling from window

A man who suffered critical injuries after falling out of a window has died

Twenty-seven year old Andrew John Piekalns was taken to the Intensive Therapy Unit at Noble's Hospital after the incident, in Christian Road, Douglas on Monday.

Police have now revealed he died later that evening.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to what they are calling 'a tragic event', but are asking anybody who spoke to Mr Piekalns on Monday morning, or who was in the area of Christian Road at the time of the incident, to ring the CID on 631212.

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed.
