Dog fouling plea

by isleofman.com 10th December 2007
The chairman of Castletown Commissioners is calling for community help to ease dog fouling in the town.

Speaking at the monthly board meeting, Paul Kennaugh highlighted an area on the town’s promenade which is badly affected and said unless there was a deterrent, existing by-laws would have little impact.

He’s asking neighbours to be vigilant and ‘name names’ in a bid to resolve the problem.

His call was echoed by colleague Richard Ronan who said as the local authority couldn’t afford a by-law officer to catch offenders, a prosecution was needed.
