Minister confident on CRHS response

The Education Minister says she's confident senior management at Castle Rushen will act as a matter of urgency on the recommendations of the Special Inspection.

The report was commissioned in the summer amid growing concerns among staff and governors about their lack of involvement in shaping the development of the school.

The report, published on Friday, confirmed weaknesses in communication and management - but stressed Castle Rushen remains successful academically and has a high level of commitment to pupils.

Minister Anne Craine says its very important the views of teachers, pupils, governors and staff are heard (audio file attached):
