It's a Washout!

Very little sport is taking place in the Island because of today's (Saturday) heavy rain.

This afternoon's entire Football programme has been washed out - 16 matches in total.

Rugby has also been hit hard with Ramsey "B" against Western Vikings at Mooragh Park the only game in the Manx Shield going ahead.

Even Hockey's all weather pitches have flooded. Only one game went ahead this morning before all matches at the National Sports Centre, Castle Rushen, Peel and Ramsey were abandoned for the rest of the day.

Sunday's sporting programme is also beginning to suffer.

All Junior League Rugby fixtures have been postponed, as has Ramsey's planned training session.
