Sport suffers on soggy Saturday

by isleofman.com 8th December 2007
Both of this afternoon's Railway Cup semi-finals in Football have been postponed. The pitches at Laxey and Old Boys are waterlogged after this morning's downpour.

Indeed, only one Football fixture has survived - the Combination Two match between Castletown and Braddan. Even this is subject to a referee inspection before kick-off.

Rugby has also been hit hard with Ramsey "B" against Western Vikings at Mooragh Park the only game in the Manx Shield going ahead.
