Election transparency plans

There could be a greater requirement for House of Keys candidates to publicly declare their interests and sources of funding before general elections.

Chief Minister Tony Brown is to ask the Governance Committee of the Council of Minister to look at possible ways of improving transparency of the democratic process.

It's hoped the legislation will have been drafted before the next general election in 2011.
