Ramsey lights switch-on

by isleofman.com 7th December 2007
Christmas officially begins in Ramsey today (Friday).

There’ll be festive fun in the town from quarter past four when the lights of the Britannia International sponsored tree in Parliament Square are switched on.

That will be carried out by the winners of a competition to design a 3D Christmas decoration, run by the Ramsey Branch of Britannia with pupils at Auldyn Infants School.

The Royal British Legion Poppy Princess and her attendant will then switch on the town and courthouse festive lights, as well as those on the Rotary Club of Ramsey tree, at a quarter to five.
