Festive advice from police

by isleofman.com 6th December 2007
This year's Christmas Presents Crime Reduction Campaign was launched at lunchtime.

The annual initiative reminds people not to let their guard down over the festive period, and give opportunistic thieves the chance to strike.

The initiative includes a large number of common sense practical suggestions, such as leaving lights on a timer and locking all doors and windows.

There are also ideas specifically for the festive period, such as not leaving presents under Christmas trees, which are easily visible from outside.

Posters have been distributed around the Island.
