Cushag House conversion plans

The DHSS is progressing plans for a new residential facility for adults with learning and physical disabilities in the south of the Island.

On Tuesday, Tynwald will be asked to approve expenditure of ?300,000 to convert Cushag House, at Four Roads, Port St Mary.

It would replace the current community home in Port Erin, which no longer meets operational requirements.

Assistant Director for Adults with Special Needs Tony Lever says the new facility is badly needed:
