Health Minister defends decision

Health Minister Eddie Teare has been accused of 'lacking compassion' over his decision to cancel a transport contract for people with learning disabilities.

East Douglas MHK Brenda Cannell wanted to know whether users of this services and their families had been consulted first.

Mr Teare said they had, and his department has decided the money would be better spent in other areas (audio file attached):
