Growing sexual health problems

Safe sex is about much more than preventing unwanted pregnancy.

That's according to the Isle of Man's family planning nurse Jackie Dunn in response to a growing chlamydia crisis over here.

The infection often presents no symptoms and, if left untreated, can lead to fertility problems in both men and women.

While it is most prevalent among young people, there is a growing number of newly divorced over forties who are being diagnosed.

Mrs Dunn says people don't have to have had many sexual partners to leave them vulnerable to catching a sexually transmitted infection (audio file attached):
