Health Minister defends new system

The Health Minister is insisting all is well at Noble's Hospital - despite claims secretarial staff are facing intolerable pressure in implementating a new I.T. system.

Eddie Teare is rejecting claims from the Government Officiers Association that the new computer system is in chaos. He says minor teething problems are to be expected.

And Mr Teare has hit out at a local newspaper headline yesterday which claimed the extra demands on staff are putting patients' safety at risk.

He says the headline was irresponsible - and has spoken out to reassure the public:
