MHK backs Langness talks

An attempt is being made to block a motion in Tynwald next month, calling for an inquiry into a land dispute at Langness.

Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen is hopeful a meeting between landowner Jeremy Clarkson and the pressure group 'Public Rights of Way around Langness' will ease the stand-off.

PRoWL has been in disagreement with Mr Clarkson after he re-routed a footpath which went around his home, to protect his privacy.

Transport Minister David Anderson has tabled a motion asking for a public inquiry into the issue, but Mr Cregeen says it might not come to that (audio file attached):
