Men deny threatening to kill

by isleofman.com 28th November 2007
Two Douglas men charged with making threats to kill, robbery and drugs offences have appeared before Deemster Doyle at a court of General Jail.

Twenty-year-old Dean Anthony Whitehead, of Lord Street and Jonathan Edward Myers, aged 24, of Stephenson Court, pleaded not guilty to threatening to kill, or cause serious injury to, a juvenile girl; offering to supply drugs to juveniles; and stealing two mobile phones from juveniles.

The offences were allegedly committed between June 8 and 11 this year.

Both defendants had been in custody, but were granted bail by Deemster Doyle with conditions they must not contact each other or any prosecution witness; observe an 8pm to 8am curfew; not enter licensed premises; and report daily to Police Headquarters.

Both men will appear in court again on December 17, when a trial date will be set.
