A 21-year-old man who was found with almost ?4,500 worth of cocaine has been jailed for four years by Deemster Doyle at a court of General Gaol.

Paul Allan Bollon, of Cronkbourne Village, Braddan admitted supplying cocaine and possessing the drug with intent to supply. He also pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and cannabis resin.

The offences were all committed between December 2006 and May this year.

The court heard Bollen was detained and searched at a friend's house in Douglas, on May 18. Police found several wrapped lumps of cocaine.

Two pieces of cannabis and tick lists were discovered during a search of his car and home.

The defendant said one of the bags of cocaine was for himself and he planned to sell the rest at ?50 per 0.7 gramme bag.

The total weight of cocaine was just over 56 grammes with a value of ?4,482.

His advocate said Bollon was an addict, but since being in custody was off the drug.

In a letter to the court Bollon said he was taking classes in prison and doing everything he could to improve himself.

Deemster Doyle said Bollon had denied himself a significant discount by not naming his supplier.
