'Farm crime' investigated

Lives are being put at risk in the west of the Island because of rural crime.

There have been three incidents in Peel where farm gates have been deliberately opened, letting livestock out onto de-restricted roads.

Dave Walker from Peel Police says vehicles could be travelling up to 70 or 80 miles an hour, and the consequences of a collision could be devastating.

He says police are patrolling farm areas and anyone found to be acting suspiciously will be dealt with accordingly:
