A 21 year old man who was found with almost ?4500 worth of cocaine has been jailed for a total of four years by Deemster Doyle at a Court of General Gaol
Paul Allan Bollon of Cronkbourne Village, Braddan, admitted supplying cocaine, possessing cocaine with intent to supply, and possessing cocaine and cannabis resin.
The offences were all committed between December 2006 and May 2007.
Rachel Braidwood, prosecuting, said the defendant was detained on May 18th in Douglas as he visited a friend's house.
He was searched and police found two large wrapped lumps of a white solid, and a clingfilm wrap containing three smaller pieces.
Bollon's car and home were searched revealing two pieces of cannabis and 'tick lists'.
The defendant said one of the bags of white substance, which was identified as cocaine, was for himself - the rest he would sell at ?50 per 0.7 gramme bag. He would have made up forty bags. Miss Braidwood said the total weight of cocaine was 56.03 grammes with a value of ?4,482.
His advocate said Bollon was an addict, but since being in custody was now clear.
In a letter to the court Bollon said he was aware he'd been an idiot. He was now taking education classes in prison and doing everything he could to self improve.
Deemster Doyle said the offences were serious and Bollon had denied himself a significant discount by not naming his supplier - but that was his choice.
