I.D cards jeopardised by data fiasco

The Treasury Minister believes the principle of identity cards could have been jeopardised by the United Kingdom government.

Allan Bell says the loss of two disks in the U.K containing information about 25 million people claiming child benefit, will have an affect on when I.D cards will be debated.

There are concerns the disks could fall into the hands of fraudsters.

Mr Bell (pictured) says it calls into question the ability of the UK government to protect personal information:
