A reward of ?1,000 is being offered for information, following the theft of a number of distinctive items of jewellery, from a house in the Crosby area.

Police say the crime is causing the owner great distress, and the money will be paid to anybody who helps secure an arrest.

The stolen items include an Omega lady's dress watch, with a dimond studded platinum strap (pictured); a ruby and diamond ring; a gold cross and chain; and a gold-link bracelet, with a number of inserted rubies.

The dress watch was taken in a green, leather bound box, with the word 'Omega' on the top.

Anybody with information is asked to ring police headquarters on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800-555-111.
