Strong interest in revised TT programme

by isleofman.com 26th November 2007
The decision to reintroduce the Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight TT races to next year's programme appears to have gone down well with the riders.

Several former TT winners have already committed to the races including Ian Lougher, Chris Palmer and Ryan Farquhar. They can expect to be joined on the start-line by Guy Martin and local rider Conor Cummins.

Thirteen time TT winner John McGuinness, who has yet to compete at the Billown circuit, has confirmed he will consider making his debut in the 250cc race subject to contractual arrangements for other classes.

Contact has also been made by several British Championship riders including Superstock regulars Gary Johnson and Paul Shoesmith, former double British 125cc champion Christian Elkin and current 125cc Championship front-runner James Ford.
