Douglas Corporate Plan

The Leader of Douglas Borough Council has called for greater transparency from local authorities when it comes to their policies and plans.

Speaking at the launch of the Douglas Corporate Plan 2008-11, David Christian said this was something which the public had come to expect now in both the private and public sectors.

Mr Christian feels publishing a document like this clearly lays out the authority's intentions for the next three years and gives staff agreed targets to aim for and deliver in that time period.

He acknowledges it can't cover every aspect of Council business, but believes it provides a solid framework for more long-term goals:
