Christmas lights switch-on

by isleofman.com 24th November 2007
The Mayor of Douglas has a important duty to perform on Thursday evening.

Colin Cain will flick the switch to turn on the town's Christmas lights, which traditionally marks the start of the build up to December 25.

The ceremony will take place outside the town hall, in Ridgeway Street, at 7pm, with entertainment from 6.30pm.

Entertaiment will be provided by the cast of this year's pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre, Jack and the Beanstalk, and there will be carol singing, led by Douglas Town Band.

Most importantly, an appearance is promised by Father Christmas!
