Emergency Keys questions

by isleofman.com 24th November 2007
Two emergency questions will be asked in the House of Keys next week on matters of national importance.

Michael MHK David Cannan (pictured) has been given permission to ask about personal information the Treasury and Department of Health and Social Security give to UK authorities.

The questions have arisen in the wake of the UK’s child benefit row, when a Customs official lost the personal details of 25 million people.

Earlier this week, Treasury Minister Allan Bell ordered a review of government systems to make sure a similar loss couldn’t happen in the Isle of Man.
