Government could buy Bradda Glen

The running of the Bradda Glen Cafe in Port Erin could well be put out to tender if the Government accepts an offer by the commissioners to sell the Bradda headland, Glen, and Milners Tower to the nation for a nominal ?1.

After a row over the possible private sale of the cafe facility, and a heated public meeting, the Commissioners have offered the Glen to the Department of Agriculture and Forestries.

DAFF Minister Phil Gawne (pictured) says there is a long way to go, before such a proposal could be taken up.

And he admits , if it comes to pass, they are likely to look for experts to run the cafe:
