Pedestrian seriously ill in hospital

An elderly male pedestrian is seriously ill after a road accident in Ramsey.

It happened at 6 o'clock on Tuesday evening on Queens Pier Road at the junction with Christian Street.

A silver Citroen car was coming out of Christian Street, driven by a Ramsey man,when the accident happened. The elderly man was crossing Queens Pier Road.

He is reported to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Any witnesses are asked to come forward and help the police build a fuller picture of the chain of events surrounding the incident.
