Anderson on landing costs

by isleofman.com 21st November 2007
It costs ?16 per tonne to land an aircraft in the Isle of Man.

Transport Minister David Anderson gave the figure when replying to a Tynwald question from North Douglas MHK John Houghton about landing costs in the Island, and in Manchester, Liverpool and London (Gatwick).

Mr Anderson (pictured) said the basic price of ?16 might change depending on the route, frequency of flights, slot times and other factors.

But he said prices elsewhere were agreed confidential between the airports and airlines, which meant he couldn't get the information.
