Manx flyers subsidising Heathrow

Isle of Man air passengers are effectively subsidising the redevelopment of Heathrow airport, according to a major regional operator.

The island lost its own 'slots' at Heathrow when BA took over Manx Airlines routes in 2002.

Now, landing fees are going up to cover building and security costs there, which will also hit Manx travellers to Gatwick in the pocket.

FlyBe spokesman Niall Duffy says airport owners BAA aren't playing fair:
