Balla battles the bullies

Many Isle of Man schools are taking part in Anti-Bullying Week, which runs until this Friday.

Ballakermeen High will be selling anti-bullying bands, making handprints in support of the cause and assessing the effectiveness of its 'Buddy' counselling scheme.

Its School Council (pictured) recently carried out a survey in order to find out how many students had been bullied and only around five per cent said they had been targeted.

These members of the council believe the results are fairly accurate:
