Attempted armed robbery

by isleofman.com 20th November 2007
Police have confirmed there was an attempted robbery at Pulrose Post Office at around 10:30 this morning, when a man armed with a knife tried to get cash from staff.

Within an hour a suspect was arrested and taken into custody at Police Headquarters, where he is currently being held for questioning.

The Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team is praising officers for their 'excellent work', and members of the public who helped them with their enquiries.

The post office has been closed until further notice, and people requiring services are advised to go to Anagh Coar or Regent Street instead.
